Today, GEH – Groupe Europe Handling was proud to welcome the Union des Aéroports Français (UAF) Ground Handling Commission to Paris-Orly airport.
The theme of the day was decarbonization, with essential discussions on energy transition strategies for ground handling activities.
On the program:
– A complete regulatory update with Olivier SCIARA.
– A presentation of GEH by Christophe Blondel.
– A presentation by Julie CORNET of the decarbonization strategy for ground support equipment (GSE) at GEH and more widely in France.
– Constructive exchanges on best practices such as battery regeneration, GSE repowering, the use of HVO, and the use of data and AI.
In the afternoon, committee members were able to discover these initiatives during a field visit to our operations at Orly, highlighting a 100% electric aircraft touchdown.
